The ultra-high tensile steel is used in the bumper beams, which are part of the front and rear bumpers.  Fabricating the ultra-high tensile steel in the bumper beams makes the bumpers stronger and thus minimizing damage in the even of a collision.  Not only the ultra-high tensile steel provides maximum collision protection, it reduces the weight of the the bumpers and consequently has considerable effect on dynamic performance and responsiveness
