Subaru today unveiled the Subaru BRZ Prologue at the 64th Frankfurt Motor Show.  Despite the fact that the BRZ Prologue is not in production yet, it is not classified as a concept.  It’s called “SUBARU BRZ PROLOGUE – BOXER Sports Car Architecture II”.

The Subaru BRZ Prologue is using the technology concept of the Subaru BRZ which is under joint development with Toyota.

The body size of the BRZ Prologue measures 4,200 mm in length, 1,770mm in width and 1,270mm in height.  The wheelbase is 2,570 mm.  It’s powered by the 2.0L direct injection 4-cylinder Horizontally-Opposed Boxer engine.

The architecture employs the totally new 2.0-litre Subaru Boxer engine exclusively designed for the new sports car.  The Subaru BRZ is currently under development with an ambition of Subaru and Toyota and is expected to start its production in spring 2012.
