Scion t2B concept

scion t2b conceptNEW YORK — Toyota’s Scion youth brand unveiled three concepts for future products: a possible heir to the xB along with scale models of a mini-truck and a three-door fastback. All three vehicles are designed to be built from the Avensis platform that also spawned the Scion tC coupe.

The t2B concept gives broad hints at a potential successor to the xB, but Toyota spokesman Mike Michels cautioned that the vehicles are merely “exploratory.”

“It’s not to be interpreted as the next xB, but as a number of possible directions for Scion to go,” Michels said.

Scion also presented two other vehicles in one-quarter scale model form. The “Cargo” is a two-seater mini-truck with a small bed for messy gear. The Fastback takes a more aggressive approach to the t2B with a steeply raked rea
