As announced earlier this year, the Scion brand will no longer be on the market starting this August.  To end the 12 years era in style, Scion has given the tC, its most popular car, a special treatment by debuting the JDM-tuner-inspired Release Series 10.0 at the upcoming New York International Auto Show.

Joining forces with Kei Miura, who is famous for his JDM aerodynamic designs, Scion has given the tC Release Series 10.0 an aggressive exterior styling, enhanced performance and an interior with unique features.

Painted in “Barcelona Red”, the 2016 Scion RS 10.0 is outfitted with a Kei Miura-designed body kit, which consists of a lip spoiler at the front, lower spoiler and deck spoiler at the rear, and rocker panels on the sides.  In addition, the 2016 tC RS 10.0 can also be differentiated from the normal tC by the black-out Scion emblems and gloss black wheels.

The Kei Miura-designed aero body kit helps enhance the performance, and the TRD lowering springs enhance the aerodynamics, traction and handling further.  In addition, the tC RS 10.0 boasts its deeper, more resonant sound with the TRD performance dual exhaust, which also boosts engine horsepower.

On the black-and-red themed interior, the Scion tC Release Series 10.0 is furnished with sport-tuned seats with red accent stitching.  The red stitching is also found on the parking brake cover, shift boot and steering wheel.  Like other limited Scion Release Series vehicles, the car comes with a release series sequentially numbered badge along with exclusive floor and cargo mat.

Limited to 1,200 units, the tC RS 10.0 will be available with a manual or automatic transmission with a price of $23,190 or $24,340 respectively, excluding $795 handling fee.  The car will arrive at dealerships in early June.
