The 2017 Rogue lineup will include a hybrid model, Nissan has announced as it intended to give Rogue drivers more powertrain choice.
Like the 2017 Rogue gas model, the Rogue Hybrid will be available in AWD and FWD and enjoying the refreshed exterior and interior styling along with additional safety features.
Powered by the 2.0-L 4-cyl engine teaming with the Xtronic transmission, the 2017 Nissan Rouge Hybrid is expected to deliver a fuel economy of 33 city/35 highway/34 combined mpg. The AWD Rogue Hybrid is projected to yield a little less at 31 city/34 highway/ 33 combined mpg. The gas engine alone generates 141 horsepower and 144 lb-ft of torque, while the 30kW electric motor contributes 40 horsepower and 118 lb-ft of torque. Overall, the hybrid system net power is 176 horsepower, which is a little better than its gas counterpart model. As matter of fact, despite its better efficiency, the Rogue hybrid doesn’t compromise the performance or interior space compared to the Rogue gas models.
