2021 Honda Clarity
Love this car. My wife has an Accord, and I have a Clarity base model, though I drive hers on occasion. My favorite on this car is being able to do most of my daily driving in EV mode. I average about 125 e-mpg as a result. However, this car does have to be "managed", meaning, you should know what mode to put the car in before you set out. Normal, Eco, HV, and Sport, but HV can be … combined with all but Eco. The car is pretty silent in EV mode, and less noisy than my wife's Accord while in HV Mode, and even in "HV Charge" mode (which some complain about). I find the acceleration to be reasonably brisk, especially in Sport mode. However, the suspension is a bit stiff for my taste, but no car is perfect. Much has been said about the Entertainment system being antiquated. I didn't buy it for that, and I find Apple CarPlay to make the matter mute. I do care about the audio quality, and that is pretty decent. Much has been said about the styling of the car, but I definitely like the odd styling. I am a retired Engineer, and some have said its a car designed by Engineers for use by Engineers, but I think my wife could get used to it... though she admitted she it a bit put off by the different driving modes.
