Nissan unveiled at the 2016 North American International Show a tougher and meaner version of its all new recently launched TITAN XD called the TITAN Warrior Concept to explore a new path where future TITAN might head toward.

Built off the TITAN XD, the TITAN Warrior Concept’s height was increased about three inches to suit the 37-inch tall tires which are mounted on custom 18-inch aluminum alloy rims that have the same design theme carried over from the production TITAN XD.  Though maintaining the original length and wheelbase, the concept truck has its width expanded three inches on each side.  This expansion allows the concept to accommodate the new oversize tires and the new, long-travel suspension.

As for body parts, the grilled and the headlights were revised to give a more technical look.  Fenders at the front and rear have also been revised to add a more muscular appearance to the truck.  The hood vents were added for cooling.  The large front skidplate was added interconnecting with the front bumper to stabilize the hoodline and also give a more powerful stance.  At the rear, a quad-tipped exhaust was added integrating into the bumper. Carbon fiber rear cab spoiler and tailgate spoilers were added to enhance the look and aerodynamics.

Interior, the TITAN Warrior Concept has a unique polished “chronograph” look and feel with surfaces covered with carbon fiber, polished chrome finishes and leather with accented Magma orange stitching.  The original steering wheel was replaced with a custom-built one that has the technical adventure theme consistent with the vehicle’s design theme.

The performance stays unchanged with the Cummins 5.0-L V8 Turbo Diesel engine and 6-speed AT.  The engine produces 310 horsepower at 3,200 rpm and 555 lb.-ft. of torque at 1,600 rpm.
