HIROSHIMA, Japan—Mazda Motor Corporation today announced the launch of the Mazda Axela Sport 1.5 Smart Edition in Japan. This special edition Mazda Axela (known overseas as the Mazda3) goes on sale from today at all Mazda, Mazda Anfini and Mazda Autozam dealers nationwide.
The 1.5 Smart Edition is based on the first generation Axela 15C model grade which features Mazda’s spirited 1.5-liter engine. The special edition model comes equipped with a rear roof spoiler that adds an extra touch of sportiness. Priced over 160 thousand yen less than the base model, it offers even more affordability.

Axela Sport 15C (front-wheel-drive model with a 1.5-liter engine and a four-speed automatic ‘Activematic’ transmission)

Body colors
Five exterior body colors are available: Aurora Blue Mica, Sunlight Silver Metallic, Metropolitan Grey Mica, Black Mica and Crystal White Pearl Mica (if this special body color is selected, the price increases by 31,500 yen including tax).
