Report: Honda to Stop Ridgeline Production in 2014

It’s reported that Honda will stop its Ridgeline production earlier than anticipated.  It was expected that Honda would end the Ridgeline production just right before the beginning of the production of the new model in the spring of 2016; however, according to WardsAuto, Honda will stop the Ridgeline production in September of next year, and the new model won’t be in production until mid 2016.

The Honda Ridgeline was first introduced in the U.S back in 2005.  It achieved its top sale volume of 50,193 units in 2006, its first model year.  With the introduction of the new Ridgeline Sport grade in 2012, Honda managed to sell 14,068 units, a 44.2% rise from 2011.

There hasn’t any reports on the new model that Honda will introduce in 2016 but it could be a next-generation Honda sport/utility truck.
