Honda today announced that it has developed a new Sport Hybrid System named “SPORT HYBRID Intelligent Dual Clutch Drive”.  This new hybrid system is a lightweight and small one-motor hybrid system which is suitabe for small-sized vehicles.

Besides providing improved fuel efficiency which is about 30% over the regular one-motor hybrid system, the new Sport Hybrid System offers more “fun of driving” by producing more powerful acceleration g-force.

With the newly announced “SPORT HYBRID Intelligent Dual Clutch Drive”, Honda now has three unique SPORT HYBRID systems in its lineup; each system is optimized for different type of vehicles.  The other two SPORT HYBRID systems are “Intelligent Multi Mode Drive / Plug-in” and “SPORT HYBRID SH-AWD”.
