Press Release : Honda Exhibits World Premiere of EV-STER the Next-generation Electric Small Sports Concept

Honda just announced that it will debut its latest electric small sports concept car, the EV-STER.  The world premiere will take place at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show.

Honda announced this news 2 weeks ago, but at the time they couldn’t come up with the official name for this concept car yet.

The EV-STER is an electric RWD two-seater convertible sports car and Honda introduces this car to propose a new way to enjoy a sports electric vehicle.

Having dimensions measuring of 140.55 inch long, 43.31 inch high and 59.1 inch width, and thanks to utilizing carbon materials, the EV-STER is a light weighted car that can accelerate from 0 to 60km/h (0-37.28mph) in 5.0 seconds with a maximum speed of 160km/h (100 mph).

Powered by a 10kWh lithium-ion battery, the Honda EV-STER concept has maximum traveling range of 160 km (100 miles) with a charging time of 3 hours for 200V or 6 hours for 100V.
