Unveiled as a design study back in 2014 at the Paris Motor Show, the C-HR is now updated and displayed at the Frankfurt Motor Show, promising a production-ready model coming to the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.

The hybrid compact crossover utilizes the new Toyota New Global Architecture platform, which is seen on the new 2016 Prius.  This new Global Architecture platform gives the car a more rigid structural framework and improved vehicle performance.  In addition, the concept features an engine that yields over 40% of thermal efficiency along with an improved efficient hybrid system which includes a smaller, lighter motor and battery.

Updated from three-door to a five-door format for practical purposes, the C-HR is taking another step closer to commercialization.  In fact, the production model of the Toyota C-HR Concept is expected hit dealers sometime in 2016 as Toyota said to bring the production-ready model of the C-HR to the Geneva Motor Show next year.
