All Subaru Models Earn 2012 ‘Top Safety Pick’ Awards From IIHS

Subaru announced today that its all-new 2012 Subaru Impreza had been named “Top Safety Pick” in “Small Car” category by Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Winning this award from its all-new Impreza makes Subaru the only manufacturer that has all models listed on a 2012 “Top Safety Pick” list and also helps maintain its streak of winning this award for the third consecutive year.
All 2012 Subaru models were selected for “good” ratings in front, side, rear, and rollover crashes.
As for the all-new Impreza, it enters 2012 as an all-new model in its fourth-generation. Among all the new features and designs the 2012 Impreza introduces, the 2012 Subaru Impreza models offer a 36 percent improvement in combined fuel economy (AT models) over the previous versions, making the all-new Impreza the most fuel-efficient AWD car in the U.S.
