Nissan has released some details about the all-new 2017 TITAN, showing similarities and differences with the flagship TITAN XD which has been available at the dealerships.

According to Nissan, other than sharing the rough exterior style, both TITAN and TITAN XD are built on separate chassis and chassis components.  Even though having the same cab size and width, the all-new TITAN’s length is about 14.7 inches shorter than the flagship TITAN XD.

The standard TITAN is powered by V6 or V8 5.6-L Endurance engine, whereas the TITANXD, in addition to the 5.6-L Endurance engine, is also available with the Cummins 5.0-L Turbo Diesel.

The 5.6-L V8 engine is able to deliver 390 horsepower and 401 lb.-ft. of torque.  When powered by the V8 engine, the TITAN will come up with a 7-speed automatic transmission.

Going on sale this summer, the all-new 2017 TITAN will be available in 4×2 or 4×4 drive configurations with three cabin configurations – Crew Cab, King Cab and Single cab – and three bed lengths – 5.5, 6.5 and 8 feet. Similar to TITAN XD, TITAN will be available in five trim levels – S, SV, PRO-4X, SL and Platinum Reserve.

See Press Release for the dimensions of the all-new Nissan TITAN and TITAN XD.
