After showing the prototype model at the 2014 NAIAS in Detroit, Acura will debut the all-new 2015 TLX production model at the upcoming New York International Auto Show.

As the TLX prototype promised, the 2015 Acura TLX will be available in two engine choices – a 2.4-L 16-valve 4-Cyl engine with an 8-speed dual clutch transmission and a 3.5-L 24-valve V-6 engine teamed with a 9-speed transmission.

FWD TLX models are either powered by the 2.4-L or 3.5-L engine, whereas the AWD models are powered solely by the 3.5-L engine.

The all-new 2015 Acura TLX will offer a quiet ride – “vault-like quietness” as described by Acura, thanks to the use of “electronic Active Noise Control” and other factors such as enhanced body stiffness, body sealing and sound insulation.

Replacing the outgoing TL, the TLX will be manufactured at the same auto plant where the current TL is built.  As a mid-size luxury sedan, the TLX will feature the same TL’s 109.3-inch wheelbase, but it has a sportier stance and is more compact with the expected length of 190.2 inches, 3.8 inches shorter than the TL.
