2014 Mitsubishi Outlander At-A-Glance

Mitsubishi today released official information, including photos and video, of the all-new 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander which will make its North American debut in 2 days at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.

The all-new 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander features a so called a “wind-cheating” exterior, which in addition to attractive look, was designed emphasized on aerodynamic efficiency.  With a seven percent increase in aerodynamic efficiency and a lighter body weight compared to the outgoing model, the 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander is anticipated to be among the most fuel efficient Crossover Utility Vehicles.

The 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander is available in 3 models – base ES, SE and GT.  The Outlander ES and SE are powered by 2.4-L 4-cylinder engine, producing 166 horsepower and 162 lb.-ft of torque.   The Outlander GT is equipped with 3.0-L 6-cylinder engine which produces 224 horsepower and 215 lb.-ft of torque. Both engines are the newest version of Mitsubishi’s specially engineered MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control) system with continuously-variable valve lift timing technology for best possible fuel efficiency and power generation with less destructive emissions.
