A prototype of the next-generation 2014 Acura MDX will be revealed at the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, Acura announced today.

Featuring the “Aero Sculpture” design expression, the new Acura MDX is described as

“alluring proportions with smooth, arching body lines matched to an efficient architecture.”

Acura hasn’t mentioned about the specifications of the car, but online sources speculate that the new Acura MDX will be powered by a 3.5-L V6 engine, which generates about over 300 horsepower and 270 lb-ft. of torque.  The new 2014 Acura MDX could also be available in hybrid model.

Stay tuned for more detailed information in a few weeks ahead.
