At the 2014 NAIAS in Detroit, Acura will debut a prototype of the TL successor, the all-new 2015 TLX Prototype.

Aimed at the current and next-generation luxury sports sedan customers comprising TL and TSX customers, the 2015 TLX, with a “more emotional and tidier” style, will be equipped with two new advanced powertrains along with an array of signature Acura technologies.  As said by Mike Accaviti, senior vice present of American Honda Motor,

“This all-new Acura TLX is the perfect blend of style and muscle with its elegant, well-proportioned exterior that cloaks the true sport sedan chassis and powertrain beneath”

When launching the 2015 TLX in the second half of 2014, Acura will also stop selling the TSX model. By then, the Acura’s sedan lineup will have three different models – the top-of-the-line RLX, the mid-size TLX and the entry luxury ILX.

The 2015 Acura TLX will be built at the Marysville, Ohio auto plant where the current TL is built, and will be available in 2WD and and AWD configurations with two choices of direct-injected engines.
