Acura Unveiled ILX Concept at the 2012 NAIAS – Scheduled to launch in Spring 2012

Unveiled at the 2012 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), the Acura ILX concept is positioned as the gateway to the Acura brand.  According to Acura, the strategy is to position the ILX as the first opportunity for many young buyers to enter the luxury market.

Manufactured exclusively by Honda Manufacturing of Indiana, LLC, in its Greensburg, the Acura ILX will join the Acura lineup as an all-new luxury compact sedan in Spring 2012.

The Acura ILX will be offered in three models – entry level model, high performance model and hybrid model.  The hybrid model is the first ever hybrid from Acura.

Exterior, the Acura ILX has a sleek and sporty look. Interior, the ILS is spacious and also sporty, it features smart entry keyless access system and pushbutton start, Pandora internet radio and SMS text message function.

The Acura ILX entry level model is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, the high performance model is powered by a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine teamed with a 6-Spd MT, and the hybrid model is powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline-electric hybrid powertrain.
