Toyota today announced the all-new 2013 Avalon that goes on sale later this year will also be offered in hybrid model.  The 2013 Toyota Avalon Hybrid will integrate the most recent “Hybrid Synergy Drive” technology from Toyota.

The Avalon Hybrid is motorized by a split-power between a 2.5-L 4-cyl 154 horsepower engine and a battery pack along with a pair of electric motor and generators within the transaxle.  All together, the Avalon Hybrid attains an overall production of 200 horsepower and achieves a fuel efficiency rating of 40 mpg in the city, 39 mpg on the highway and 40 mpg combined (21 city/ 31 hwy/25 mpg combined for the 2013 Avalon gas model).
