Subaru today announced that it will debut the re-styled 2013 Legacy at the 2012 New York International Auto Show. The restyled Subaru Legacy will feature a redesigned front end including a new headlight, grille and front bumper. The 2013 Subaru Legacy also have chassis enhancements which give the 2013 Legacy better ride quality and agility.

For 2013, the Subaru Legacy models will debut Subaru’s new EyeSight driver-assist system, which integrates Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Braking and Vehicle Lane Departure Warning.

The 2013 Subaru Legacy 2.5i is powered by a new BOXER engine, which is more powerful and better fuel efficiency. The new engine produces 173 horsepower and 174 lb.-ft of torque, compared to 170 horsepower and 170 lb.-ft with the previous engine. The 2013 Subaru Legacy 2.5i is projected to achieve 24 mpg city/32 mpg highway/27 mpg combined, up compared with the 21/21/26 for the 2012 model.

The 2013 Legacy 3.6R models continue with a 256-horsepower 3.6-liter six-cylinder BOXER engine and five-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission.

The Legacy 2.5GT model is discontinued for 2013.
