Unofficial New Acceleration Time Puts the 2013 Nissan GT-R in the New League

Nissan hasn’t officially announced nor confirmed the acceleration time for its latest 2013 Nissan GT-R (2012MY for Japan). But its new acceleration time has been circulated online.  The YouTube video below shows that the 2013 GT-R can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph time in just 2.84 seconds and 0 to 60 mph in 2.72 seconds(0-62 mph in 3 seconds for 2012 MY).  If this turns out to be true, the Nissan GT-R will be in the new league of “0-62mph in under 3 seconds”.

The acceleration time was measured during the media test ride event held at the Sendai Hi-land Race Way on November 8th, 2011.  The GT-R clocked in with a time of 2.84 seconds.
