Honda today announced that its all-new Accord Coupe and Sedan earned “Top Safety Pick+” (TSP+) from Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). To achieve the TSP+, vehicles have to get good ratings in 4 as a minimum of 5 tests, and must earn more than no less than acceptable rating in the fifth test.
Besides the new Honda Accord, the 2013 Acura TL also pulled off the TSP+, helping Honda, as a manufacturer, lead the industry with three TSP+.
Furthermore, thirteen 2013 model year Honda vehicles received “Top Safety Pick” (TSP). To receive TSP, vehicles have to earn good ratings in the moderate overlap front, side, rollover and rear tests, regardless of their rating in the small overlap front test.
