2013 Scion “FR-S GT” Specs – for 2012 Scion Tuner Challenge

This week “weekly tuners” features one of the participants of the 2012 Scion Tuner Challenge – the 2013 custom Scion “FR-S GT”, which made its debut at the 2012 SEMA show.

Named “FR-S GT”, the tuned Scion FR-S was modified by Daniel Song, whose goal was to build the car not only for “show ready for its debut at SEMA 2012”, but it could be a “real show on the track”.

Exterior, the vinyl wrapped Scion “FR-S GT” features parts from various companies including JONSIBAL, APR, MV Designz and Difflow.  JONSIBAL parts include a designed wide body kit, splitter and canards.  APR carbon fiber parts consist of NACA hood ducts, formula GT3 mirrors, rear air foil and upright stabilizer, and rear spoiler with custom trunk mounts.  MV Designz parts include front lip, side skirts and rear valance.  Also, the custom FR-S features a customized 5-element aluminum diffuser from Difflow.

Interior, in addition to the roll cage from Garage Life, the custom Scion FR-S features a number of parts from Sparco including racing bucket seats, harness, steering wheel, hub, quick release and shift knob.

Riding on 18-inch SSR 2 piece Professor SP1 wheels, the tuned Scion “FR-S GT” is equipped with Air Runner suspension system with Tanabe front and rear strut tower bars.
