2012 Toyota Highlander Offers Choice of Four-Cylinder, V6 and Hybrid Models

Having been majorly revised in 2011, coming into 2012, the Toyota Highlander offers little change in terms of its design.  For 2012, the Toyota Highlander is available in Highlander, SE and Limited grades with either front-wheel drive (FWD) or full-time four-wheel-drive (4WD).  Three-row seating with rear climate control are standard on all 2012 Highlander models.

The 2012 Toyota Highlander offers two types of engines: The 2.7L 4-cylinder engine which produces 187 horsepower with the gas mileage estimated of 25 MPG in highway rating.  Standard on the Limited grade and available for the others is the 3.5L 6-cylinder engine which produces 270 horsepower.

All the 2012 Toyota Highlander Base and SE models are equipped with 17 inch alloy wheels with 245/65/ R17 tires.  Whereas, the Limited grade is equipped with 19 inch alloy wheel with 245/55/ R19 tires.  All the 2012 Highlander models are equipped with a direct tire pressure monitoring system designed to alert driver if there is a critical drop in tire pressure.

2012 Highlander comes with seven standard airbags which include driver and front passenger airbags, front seat side airbags and a driver’s knee airbag.
