Mitsubishi announced its 2012 Lancer had been named as a “Top Safety Pick” by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). This is the fifth year in a row, Mitsubishi brings home this award thanks to various models from its lineup.
In order for the 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer to be named “Top Safety Pick”, it has to earn “good” rating in three areas of crash test analysis including high-speed front impact crash testing, high-speed side impact crash testing and evaluation of seat/head restrains for protection against net injuries in rear impact crash testing.
