2011 Lexus IS-F Club Circuit Sports Racer (CCS-R) at 2011 Tokyo Auto Salon

2011 Lexus IS-F Club Circuit Sports Racer

One of the most impressive cars featured by Lexus at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show is the Lexus IS-F Club Circuit Sports Racer (CCS-R).

For the exterior, the Lexus IS-F CCS-R features carbon fiber body panels, including front and rear spoilers, bonnet and boot lid, and a new frame-less construction roll cage and polycarbonate windows.

For the interior, the Lexus IS-F CCS-R feature further extensive use of carbon fiber for the dashboard, center console and door trims, while the racing details extend to a six-point safety harness and short-diameter steering wheel with paddle shifts.

Performance wise, the Lexus IS-F CCS-R is equipped with racing suspension, brakes, cooling and exhaust, plus a mechanical limited-slip differential and forged alloys shod with slick tires.

The Lexus IS-F CCS-R has the same 5.0 Liter V8 engine as in the standard IS-F, but with many added carbon fiber parts, the car weighs only 3,086 lbs compared to 3,780 lbs originally.  With the lighter weight, the car is able to produce 417hp and 373 lb-ft of torque.  [2011 Lexus IS-F Overview and Specs]
