Featuring expressive styling and advanced user technology, the Mitsubishi Galant sets a new standard for value and reliability. The Galant lineup includes the ES and SE models, both powered by an efficient 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine.
The MIVEC four-cylinder engine has been revised for the 2010 model year and now shows an improved highway fuel economy rating of 30 MPG. Four-cylinder Galant models sold in California, Maine, Massachusetts, New York and Vermont are certified as Partial Zero-Emissions Vehicles (PZEV). All 2010 Galant models come standard with a four-speed Sportronic® automatic transmission.
All 2010 Galant models now come standard with a host of handling aids for improved driver control during all situations, including anti-lock brakes (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), traction control (TCL), and Active Stability Control (ASC). The 2010 Galant also features advanced dual-stage front airbags, front seat-mounted side-impact airbags, side front and rear curtain airbags, engine immobilizer, and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Both Galant models now feature a silver painted mesh front grille for improved aerodynamics and a more upscale look. Adding to the refined driving experience is the improved interior sound insulation, which reduces the interior cabin noise.
The Galant SE model also adds a standard 650-watt Rockford Acoustic Design™ premium audio system with 6-disc CD/MP3 playback and eight speakers. Included with the system is SIRIUS® Satellite Radio with a 3-month pre-paid subscription. Bluetooth connectivity is now standard for the Galant SE. An auxiliary input jack is now standard on all models for iPod and MP3 playback.
The Galant midsize sedans, along with the Eclipse coupe and Eclipse Spyder models and the Endeavor crossover SUV, are all built in the Mitsubishi manufacturing plant in Normal, Ill.
